We’re back with another episode of America’s Next Pop Icon 💃🏻
We know you’re dying to hear the latest pop news, so we won’t keep you waiting. Unfortunately, the news broke recently that T.I. and his girlfriend Tiny have been sued for defamation and sexual assault allegations. Word on the street is they’ve been up to some pretty shady stuff….
For today’s artist segment, we have genre-bending artist Krystle Dos Santos, who hails from our host Andrew Van Slee’s hometown of Vancouver. We highlighted her powerful track “Buried Alive,” written to bring awareness to domestic violence. The video is unique in that the actors in the music video improvised the entire thing, bringing a chilling realism. Krystle has a truly awe-inspiring voice.
We also had Julian Moreno in the studio once again, for more fabulous vocal tips. Today we focus on: how to warm up! An essential practice for singers, but what is the proper way to do it? Julian calls his go-to technique the hum and whine, which is exactly what it sounds like. The key, however, is to keep your voice relaxed as you do it.
