Episode 18 with Antonio Larosa

Coming to you from West Hollywood, CA, we’ve got a great show this week with Antonia Larosa!

On Iconic News with the lovely Jessica Wood, as always we learn exciting new things happening in the entertainment world – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Today, more on the bad and ugly side – Billie Eilish recently got a restraining order against a crazed fan who had been camping out in front of her house. It really demonstrates how dangerous it can be once you reach a certain level of fame! In other news, rap baddie Cardi B deactivated her Twitter account after receiving backlash for releasing a custom doll, rather than releasing a new album. Sounds like her fans are desperately in need of new music!

Now for our featured artist: all the way from Vancouver, BC, Antonio Larosa hopped on a call to talk about his music with us. In Andrew’s words, Larosa’s music is addictive, reminiscent of The Eagles. His song “On Your Own” is a unique take on the typical love song, coming from the perspective of someone telling their partner why they shouldn’t be with them, rather than the usual plea for them to come back. Check it out here!

For our next segment, vocal coach Lee Lontoc returns to give us the latest in vocal tips and tricks! Today’s topic: coloring. Coloring is what makes one’s voice different from all others – what makes your voice unique; it can completely change the meaning and feel of a song. A way to practice and strengthen your own unique coloring is to do your regular vocal practices, but give each scale a new color. In this way, you can broaden your range.

That’s all for this week – see you next time!
